OUR VISION
We are a community of young Christians from various churches and ministries in Houston, Texas. Our name, Christian Youth United 4.12, comes from the Bible verse:
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity"
1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

Our main goal is to create a safe and supportive space where young people can develop their relationship with Christ and strengthen their spiritual lives. We believe that our annual youth camp, a three-day event, is a perfect opportunity for young people to take a break from their busy lives and focus on building their connection with Christ and other young believers.

We strongly believe that when we are united, we stand stronger.
Our community is open and inclusive, and we would love to have you join us on this journey of faith and growth.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Trinity
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
(1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19, 3:16-17; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11)
The Father
God is great because He is all-knowing, all-powerful, constantly present, unchangeable, wholly deserving of our confidence, and most importantly, holy. We breathe, move, and exist because of Him. As our Father, God is good. He is love, compassion, and faithful to His people and His promises.
(Exodus 3:14; Numbers 23:19; Leviticus 11:44-45; 19:2; Psalm 11:4-6; Malachi 3:6; John 3:16; 4:24; 5:26; 14:1; Acts 17:28; Romans 3:3-4)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
The Son
Jesus Christ was fully God and fully human at the same time. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit inside of Mary, a virgin. Jesus is the only way for reuniting those who have drifted from God. Christ led a perfect life in order to fulfill God's requirements for perfection in place of us. Christ overcame death by rising from the dead so that we can have life.

(Isaiah 7:14; 53; Matthew 1:18-23; 3:17; 8:29; 14:33; 16:16; 28:5-6; Luke 1:27-35; 22:70; 24:46-47; John 1:1, 14; 10:30; 11:25-27; 17:1-5; Acts 1:9; 2:22-24; 7:55-56; Romans 1:3-4; 3:23-26; 8:1-3; 10:4; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Gal 4:4-5; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15; 2:9; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; 3:16)

For I have come down from heaven... I and the Father are one ... Whoever has seen me has seen the Father ... I came from the Father ... I am leaving the World and going to the Father ... I will come again and will take you to myself. John 6:38, 10:30, 14:9, 16:28, 14:3
The Holy Spirit
His presence confirms our connection to Christ. He exalts Christ while guiding followers toward all truth. He brings conviction of sin, of God's righteousness, and of impending judgment. He soothes us, bestows spiritual talents upon us, and refines us into the image of Christ. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are tangible proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16-18
